On arrival in Yangon, you are immediately transported back in time. Check into your exquisite colonial hotel where tradition and modern comfort seamlessly complement each other.

Your expert local guide will take you on an informative private tour to get acquainted with this magnificent city. Hike up Singuttara and pray for good health at world's largest golden temple complex. This is the most sacred temple of entire Myanmar in which 8 pieces of Buddha's hair are kept.

Stroll through the downtown area and observe the locals at lively park going about their daily lives. Take tame home a piece of Yangon, head to the first floor of the grand bazaar to pick up an antique or two. Finish your day in a lavish colonial villa where French haute cuisine is served with all its grandeur.

THE GOLDEN LAND

Bagan in central Myanmar is one of the world's greatest archeological sites, a sight to rival Machu Picchu or Angkor Wat but – for the time being at least – with much fewer visitors. The setting is sublime – rising from the plain's canopy of green are temples, hundreds of them, beautiful, other-worldly silhouettes that were built by the kings of Bagan between 1057 and 1287.

Your luxury adobe is the only luxury hotel located right in this archaeological complex. After settling down, head out for a private horse carriage ride to get up and close with this culture wonder. Climb up the highest pagoda for the most magical sun set you may never forget. From time to time, we simply need to take to the skies for better perspective. As a special treat, rise up early next morning and hop into ahot air balloon watching the sun rise over the thousand year old pagodas… this is the closest thing to nirvana.

ASIATIC TRANQUILITY

Inle Lake offers both tranquillity and South East Asian flavours. Surrounded by lush forests, the lake is dotted by floating gardens. Enjoy a private boating journey on the lake and embrace the peaceful atmosphere.

If you are up for some hustle and bustle, head out to the traditional “Five Day” market (this market only opens five days a week of course!). Villagers dressed in colourful traditional costumes gather in this local market shopping for food, produce and apparently just catching up with each other.

Alternatively, take a boat to visit some weaving villages nearby and bring home some perfect gifts. To truly understand the life in the lake though, our local friend will take you to visit the floating gardens up and close. A specialty locally, these gardens are made of weeds, clay and anchored by bamboo pole. They are resistant to flooding as the gardens rise and fall with the water level. You will surely be amazed by this incredible creation of intensive human labour.
