Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali with her warm and friendly people is sure to take your breath away. Imposing volcanoes, lush rice terraces, soft sandy beaches, a fascinating culture and plenty of outdoor sports to choose from, all topped with some of the world’s finest hotels and villas. The island is popular and can be touristy, but if you know the right people and be tipped about where to go off the beaten track, it is still truly one of the world’s paradises.

LAND OF GODS

Check into your luxury jungle resort perched on a small hill high above the winding Ayung River gorge. Your luxury adobe follows the design of a traditional Balinese village and is located on the fringe of Bali’s cultural capital, Ubud. Pebbled walkways link the thatched-roof suites, each of which has its own walled garden. You are in a unique setting from which to experience the cultural richness of Bali’s artistic centre as well as its mountainous region to the north. With your expert personal guide, hike through Bali's verdant rice terraces to a secluded Buddhist temple and receive a special blessing for good luck and long life from a high priest.

For the romantic at heart, we are sure to impress you and your loved one with a dining experience of a life time. A private temple in open just for you and an exclusive gourmet Balinese feast will be prepared by an Executive Chef. Your very own dining staff will be eager to meet all your needs. After dessert, release a paper lantern with your wishes into the sky before walking through the rainforest to reach the Holy Water temple. At this sacred spring, experience the purification ritual conducted by a local Mangku who will carry out prayers.

WATER THRILLS AND ARTS

For the adventure spirited, go whitewater rafting on the sacred river, which starts in east Bali below the great Mt. Agung. Challenge yourself in class III and IV rapids and discover hidden waterfalls, swim in the pristine water and feel the mighty of this river. This is easily the most thrilling way to see Bali's jungles and waterscapes; you will rush past steep banks and ancient hanging trees, whilst rafting straight through cascading waterfalls of natural spring water.

If you feel an sudden urge to be creative yourself, make batiks with local artisans in their home is an excellent choice. Visit our local friend at her home where her extended, three-generation family lives under one roof in a gorgeous traditional Balinese home. She employs a few locals in making beautiful duvets, table runners, wall hangings and other amazing examples of batik. With their help, design and make something unique to bring home and showcase your artistic side.

VOLCANOES AND CRATERS

A 20mins flight away by plane, land on Lombok. We already found you the perfect spot to rest your head. Your luxury boutique resort is located on miles of virgin white sand beach and stands as a monument for the forgotten history, art and romance of the ancient kingdom. Take a trek to see the earthly jewels in Lombok's crown: the volcanic Mount Rinjani, which rises to 3,726 meters, making it the third highest in Indonesia, and the volcano's crater lake Segara Anak is breathtaking. Alternatively, take a helicopter to the top and circle the crater!

Another one of our favorite activities is to take a traditional wooden catamaran and sail to the nearby Gili islands which are famed for fantastic diving and a laid-back pace of life. With its white sandy beach, visit the turtle sanctuary. At the right time, you can witness the unhitching of baby turtles and watch them dash into the beautiful blue ocean.
